About Katkoot Al Wadi
Katkoot Al Wadi is the flagship business and back bone of the renowned Wadi Group in Egypt, which commenced operations in 1986. The Group’s vertical integration began with raising poultry grandparents on a 1000 acre isolated farm, followed by the breeding of poultry parents to produce the commercial broilers and layer baby chicks. Wadi Farms are located in Noubaria and Km 49 on Cairo-Alex Road in isolated, bio-secured locations using the latest technologies to provide the most suitable and healthy environments to achieve the optimum performance out of the flocks.
In order to further grow the business, Katkoot Al Wadi established three separate , isolated and bio-secured hatcheries; each of them is dedicated to a specific activity:
A hatchery for grandparents hatching eggs to produce broiler parents
A hatchery for broiler parents hatching eggs to produce commercial broilers
A hatchery for layer parents to produce commercial layers
Each of the three hatcheries is separate and operates under its own management.
Katkoot Al Wadi has become a respected and well-known name among Egyptian poultry farmers due to the high genetic potential of the breeds and comprehensive technical support service offered to all customers. The technical support service provides guidance and free consultancy by industry professionals for the three main Katkoot Al Wadi activities with the main objective of providing expertise and support for farmers throughout the different growth phases for both breeds in terms of flock management practices and tools, nutritional and vaccine programs, and environmental management to ensure the quality of the final product at the lowest possible production cost.
